When does the power trip?
The stage of the cycle provides an important clue. Tripping during filling, heating, draining, motor operation or spinning can relate to different components, wiring or moisture ingress.
Possible causes
Possible sources include a heater, motor, drain pump, inlet component, damaged wiring, mains filter, control component or water reaching electrical parts. Testing is required; the timing alone does not prove which part has failed.
Safety first
Stop using the machine, unplug it only if the area and plug are dry and safe to approach, and do not bypass the RCD or repeatedly reset the circuit. If there is smoke, heat, sparking or flooding, keep clear and obtain urgent qualified assistance.
